Features and Overview[]

The Akkala Tower is a Sheikah Tower located in the Akkala Highlands of the Akkala Region. The Akkala Citadel Ruins were built around it, as it juts out from the center of the Ruins after Link raises the Sheikah Towers simultaneously. The grounds surrounding the Akkala Tower have been covered in a massive pool of Malice, which also leads a small way up the Tower. The Temperature atop of the Akkala Tower is freezing, requiring Link to have at least one form of a low-level Cold Resistance active to avoid taking damage. A broken Guardian can be found at the top of the Tower, where it can be searched for Ancient Materials. Once Link reaches the top of Akkala Tower, he can activate the Tower, filling in the Sheikah Slate's Map of the area surrounding the Akkala Highlands, the Akkala Tower Region.

An Glowing Eyeball can be found beside the Akkala Tower which, when destroyed, will release ropes of Malice holding a thin, metal slab on the northern side of the Tower. This slab can be used to form a bridge across the pools of Malice surrounding the Tower. A small room near this slab contains a metallic Treasure Chest which holds a Silver Rupee, valued at 100 Rupees. A Rusty Halberd can be found on one of the staircases of the Ruins surrounding the Tower. A small crawlspace along the southern wall on the interior of the center building leads to a small, hidden bedroom. Inside this room is a wooden Treasure Chest which contains five Fire Arrows. A lit Cooking Pot, a Rusty Broadsword and a Rusty Shield can be found in the remains of a building southeast of the Tower. The second floor of this building holds a metallic Treasure Chest which contains five Bomb Arrows.
