IS CREAM BLUSH BETTER FOR MATURE SKIN?
Cream blush works on all kinds of skin types and across all age ranges—but it’s especially perfect for dry or more mature skin which always needs that extra bit of moisture. The one skin type that might have issues with cream blush is very oily skins—powder formula makeup will always be the better option.
IS CREAM BLUSH BETTER THAN POWDER BLUSH?
Unlike lip or eye color, cheek color is meant to be as natural-looking as possible—you never really want to look like you’re wearing blush. You want that lovely bloom of color on your cheeks to appear from within. Powder blushes are wonderful, but much easier to overdo than cream formulas, which by nature are very sheer and lightweight. Plus they’re super-simple to apply—one might not know how to wield a blush brush with confidence, but we all know how to finger paint, which is basically how you apply cream blush.
HOW TO APPLY CREAM BLUSH:
Traditionally, blush usually goes on over foundation, but with cream blush you can be more experimental, since it’s the same creamy consistency asfoundation,BB creamand tinted moisturizer. It layers really well. Some people like applying it before foundation to tone down the color. It’s a personal preference.
Start with a small smudge of color (you can always go back and apply more), smile brightly in the mirror and then blend the cream blush into the apples of your cheeks, distributing an even amount of color on both sides.
