Yes, people, she knows it's tuna.

Acting alongside daughter Maxwell "Maxi" Drew, 11, Simpson is seen in the opening of the ad sitting on a couch with her oldest child.

"Mom, what are you eating in the packet," Maxwell asks her mother.

"It's called Chicken of the Sea, but it's not really chicken — it's tuna," she responds. "So don't get confused by it."

As Maxwell questions, "Who would get confused by that?" Simpson slyly replies, "No one. Not your Mom," before letting out an awkward laugh.

Maxwell then stares at her mom with a concerned expression, before Simpson looks away, clearly recalling her infamous flub from an episode of her reality show,Newlyweds: Nick and Jessica,

Simpson confused tuna and chicken while eating a bowl of Chicken of the Sea on the 2003 premiere of her reality series, which chronicled her life with her now-ex Nick Lachey.

“I know it’s tuna, but it says chicken by the sea,” the "With You" songstress said in the episode. “Is that stupid? What is it called — chicken by the sea or in the sea?”

Lachey, 50, then looked at Simpson with confusion, telling her, “Chicken of the Sea is the brand. You know, ’cause a lot of people eat tuna, just like a lot of people eat chicken. Chicken of the Sea.”

"Oh, I understand now. I read it wrong," she added at the time.

Simpson is now married to husbandEric Johnson and the two share Maxwell and two other kids, son Ace Knute, 10, and daughter Birdie Mae, 4.
