Reheating Instructions OLD | shullyscuisine (2024)

*We recommend re-heating all items at 325*

If you use the convection mode on your oven this may decrease the re-heating time by 5-10 minutes.

Turkey – Oven to 325. The turkey has been brined, fully cooked, boned, and ready to re-heat. Keep lid on. The turkey should take about 20-30 minutes depending on how much turkey is in your pan. Check about 10 minutes into re-heating by lifting a corner of the lid and see how the process is going. Once fully re-heated you can take the turkey out and rest for 10/15 minutes in a warm area, keep the lid on to lock in heat and moisture until ready to serve. Microwave: transfer to microwave safe platter, cover with plate or cling wrap, 1 minute, shift turkey and give it a little stir, 1 min 30 sec. check. Might need another minute depending on micro strength but will be ready shortly thereafter!

Turkey Gravy – Ready to re-heat on the stove top. We recommend using a thick bottomed sauce pan so you don’t scorch the gravy. Re-heat on medium-medium low and stir occasionally with a whisk. Add some water or milk to gravy if it needs thinning out. Microwave: lid off, 30 seconds, stir, another 45 seconds, add water if needed.

Mashed Potato or Root Smash – Oven to 325. Both are re-heated in the same manner. Depending on the amount you ordered, the process may take 20-35 minutes. We recommend giving the mash & smash 1-2 stirs during re-heating process. Microwave: transfer to microwave safe platter, cover with plate or cling wrap, 2 minutes, stir, 1 minute. Might need another minute depending on micro strength but will be ready shortly thereafter!

Greens Bean Casserole – Oven to 325. The casserole is fully cooked. We packed the onion crust separately. Depending on how much you ordered, is 20-30 minutes. Keep the foil lid on the beans for the first 10-15 minutes then remove the foil lid so onions can crisp. GF fried onions are clearly marked. Microwave not recommended for this dish.

Sweet Potato – Oven to 325. The sweet potato dish is fully cooked. Approximately cooking time for the potatoes is 20-30 minutes. Microwave not recommended for this dish.

Bread Stuffing –Oven to 325. The stuffing is ready to go in the oven. Depending on the amount ordered approximate cooking time is 30-45 minutes. Some people like a crust on their stuffing some do not. If you like a crust remove the foil from the pan for the last 15-20 minutes of cooking. Microwave not recommended for this dish.

Vegetable Medley- Oven to 325. The medley is fully cooked. Approximate cooking time, depending on how much you ordered, is 10-15 minutes. Set in oven keep Covered with lid. Microwave: transfer to microwave safe platter, cover with plate or cling wrap, 30 seconds, stir, 1 minute. Might need another minute depending on micro strength but will be ready shortly thereafter!

Roasted Brussel Sprouts- Oven to 325. The roasted Brussel sprouts are fully cooked. 10-20 minutes depending on the amount you ordered. Microwave not recommended for this dish.

Apple Pie/ Pumpkin Pie- If you prefer your pie warm for the holiday you can place it in the oven to warm for 10-15 minutes, to tell if it is heated trough place a stick and or small butter knife in the middle of the pie then pull out and touch the bottom of your lip to see if it is warm to the touch.

*Chef Notes – All ovens are not created equal; oven temperatures can vary. Our recommendation is to use your eyes and a thermometer to check temperature. Veggies: 135, Turkey: 165. Mashed: 140. Your best bet is check items during heating process. Whatever time you plan on serving your Thanksgiving dinner, I suggest starting the re-heating process at least 2 hours prior to that time. If you have a second oven, use it for holding at 200-215. You can keep items in quality condition for 30-40 minutes at that temperature.

**Chef Hot Tip - you can use a clean ice cooler to place hot items into until all foods are ready for service. Pre-heat cooler by boiling pot of hot water on stove to place in covered cooler with towel under to not melt bottom. Remove hot pot once you are ready to place items into the cooler.

***Keeping Product Safe for Re-Heating - It appears that the temperature for this year, 2022 will be around the low 30’s to mid-50’s. Proper temperature for keeping food safe in refrigeration is 38-41. Fit what you can in your refrigerator for safe keeping. If you run out of room you can use an ice chest to place product in. Place freezer packs that don’t leak on top of the product in the cooler. I like to place the freezer packs in a zip lock and place the cooler lid on. You can duct tape the cooler lid to the chest. Place the cooler either outside or in an un-heated garage. Product should stay in quality shape overnight.

Thank you for your order and have a very Happy Thanksgiving – The Shully Family and Team
