Sugar syrup (also called simple syrup) is basically just a mix of sugar and water. Sugar syrup is also one of the most essential ingredient in co*cktails. When we first started making co*cktails, we didn't realise what a staple sugar syrup is. It's used in a ton of co*cktails and a lof of drinks that we make with Bright Night Gin. It's also very easy to make as well and we often make 200-300ml and leave it in the fridge. If it's properly sealed, it will last in the fridge for a few weeks.Adding simple syrup really balances out the acidity of most co*cktails and allows you to have that extra flavour in your co*cktails. There are different richness of sugar syrups. The normal ration is 1:1 and a rich sugar syrup is 2:1 ratio. For our co*cktails we mostly use a 100 grams sugar to 100 ml water ratio.
