Are the meat-flavoured crisps suitable for vegetarians?
Answer:
All our core Walkers Crisps flavours are suitable for vegetarians. Some flavours in our wider Walkers range do contain meat, so please check the back of pack for guidance.
Do you use artificial colours in your crisps?
Answer:
Our Walkers Core crisps contain no MSG or artificial colours and are fully compliant with food labelling regulations. Please refer to the back of pack information for each of our products to see individual information.
Are your products gluten free?
Answer:
No, our crisps are not gluten free. Please refer to back of pack for more information.
Are your crisps suitable for vegans?
Answer:

Are you crisps Halal or Kosher?

The ingredients in our crisps are not certified as halal or kosher.
Are there any egg traces in your crisps?
Answer:
Should there be egg included in the ingredients it will be included in the ingredient information provided on the back of the pack, or else you can contact our Consumer Relations team on 0800 274 777 or via our contact us page on the Walkers website who can provide you with an up to date list of products that do not contain egg.
Do your products contain alcohol?
Answer:
A small number of our seasonings contain very small amounts of alcohol. Our consumer services team would be able to provide details on request, please get in touch.
How much salt is there in a packet of Walkers crisps?
Answer:
It varies flavour to flavour. In a 32.5g bag of Walkers Cheese & Onion there is 0.4g of salt. That's 7% of the daily reference intake. You can see the full details of our range here: www.walkers.co.uk/our-crisps, as well as on the front of each packet.
Do your crisps contain iodised salt?
Answer:
We do not use iodised salt in our crisps.
What type of potatoes do you use?
Answer:
When it comes to choosing the right spuds, there’s a lot to consider! Our British-grown potatoes are carefully chosen for their texture, how well they store, and whether they can be grown in large numbers. Our main varieties are Lady Rosetta, Hermes, Saturna, Brooke and Arsenal. Don’t look for these in the shops though, they’re only used for crisps!
What pesticides do you use on your potatoes?

All our products come from an approved supply chain where growers adhere to good agricultural practice. This includes the responsible use of crop protection products where necessary to provide high quality potatoes.
What onions do you use in your cheese and onion flavour crisps? Also are they locally sourced?
Answer:
As per the ingredient listings, dried onion is used as part of the seasoning.

What is Annatto?
Answer:
Annatto is a natural food colour additive, (with the e number E160b) it used in a small number of our seasonings. All additives in food and drink sold in the EU have undergone thorough scientific testing and have been approved by the European Commission as safe for use.
Why do you need to fry crisps in oil?
Answer:
We take our British potatoes, slice and cook our crisps in oil to give them the perfect crunch, texture and taste - and ultimately the crisps you know and love! The oil we use is a blend of sunflower and rapeseed oil which is up to 75% lower in saturated fat that traditional cooking oils.
