Universal Time Coordinated (UTC) is similar to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) but, unlike the latter, does not adjust to account for Daylight Savings Time. You can figure out which time zone you're in by searching Time Zone Map or Time Zone [CITY] UTC.
How to calculate UTC time to local time? ›
between 0000 and 0059, add 12 hours:
- 0059 --> 12:59 AM. between 0100 and 1159, straight conversion to AM:
- 0100 --> 1:00 AM. between 1200 and 1259, straight conversion to PM:
- 1259 --> 12:59 PM. between 1300 and 2359, subtract 12 hours:
- 1559 --> 3:59 PM.
Use the following guideline in order to convert UTC in different time zones:
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is 4 hours ahead of Eastern Time (EST)
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is 6 hours ahead of Central Standard Time (CST).
- Coordinated Universal Time (UTC) is 6 hours ahead of Mountain Standard Time (MST).
The usage of UTC and GMT is based upon a twenty four hour clock, similar to military time, and is based upon the 0° longitude meridian, referred to as the Greenwich meridian in Greenwich, England.

- Sign in to Power Automate.
- Find your flow and select Edit to add an action.
- In the Search box, type convert time zone and choose the built-in Convert time zone operation.
- Add the required and optional inputs for the Convert time zone operation.
To get from GPS to UTC currently you need to subtract 18 seconds, and manage how that ripples through into minutes, hours, days, etc. Given you have a YYYY/MM/DD HH:MM:SS. sss format you would need to convert into a linear numeric form, subtract out the leap second offset, and then convert back into the calendar form.
