The EX Champion Revali's Song is one of DLC Main Quests in The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. After completing the first set of trials on the Great Plateau, you can start this quest on Cuho Mountain, South of the Rito Village and Divine Beast Vah Medoh in the Hebra Region.

Take note that in order to access this mission, you'll have to have the DLC purchased and installed, but you'll also need to have completed each of the Divine Beasts and defeated the Blight Ganons inside.

You can find the newly arisen pedestal on the Eastern side of Cuho Mountain, located straight South from Rito Village.

Cross Lake Totori and climb up to find Kass already at the pedestal - who is trying to complete the song of his old teacher.

His verses seem to echo those of the trials you are to face:

"One, shoot the flame dragon's horn. Two, race down a peak rings adorn. Three, shoot four targets to win. Champion, the trials begin!"

On the pedestal, the three obelisks reveal map locations of the shrines you must uncover and complete - which you can do in any order. All three of them are in the nearby area of the Tabantha and Hebra Regions.

Trial 1 - Shira Gomar Shrine

Kass mentioned speaking to the Rito Elder Kaneli about Revali, and if you go meet him at Rito Village, you'll learn about the blazing dragon seeing flying through Tarangar Canyon.

Looking at one of the maps on the obelisk, you can see the outline of the canyon and a dot on a upper ledge running along the North side.

Travel to the Hebra Tower and glide down Southwest until you reach this shelf - and look for the campfire of the Rito Guard Mazli. He's watching the dragon - and notes that he only appears at night.

If you wait at the camp until night, you'll spot the great dragon Dinraal around 1AM as he makes his way by from the East. Hop off and loose an arrow at his glowing horn, and the shrine will be revealed.

Pick up the Shard of Dinraal's Horn if you want, and head to the shrine on the South side of the canyon ridge.

In Shira Gomar Shrine - Aim for Stillness - you'll spot a series of windy gusts that can propel you through the air to a far wall with breakable sections.

Stand a few paces back from the final wind gust and toss a bomb onto it and launch it up and detonate it when it's near the stones. Up on the other side, you'll spot a tube to put a Round Remote Bomb in and it will fly off towards the far wall that you can also detonate - wait for the bomb to start dropping in height before blowing it up.

Ride the gusts up to the next level where two spinning gusts are on a middle platform, with two slots for bombs to shoot out. The far wall has a breakable wall - but is closed when the gust is hitting it. Before you move onward, look left for a small platform with a chest and float up to get 10 Bomb Arrows.

Back on the middle platform, you can either use Stasis to freeze the fan that triggers the gate to close - or Stasis the platform as it centers on the wall and wait for the fan to stop spinning.

Once the block is destroyed, fly up into the next section, and up across the last few gusts to the Monk - and gain one of three Medoh's Emblems.

Trial 2 - Kiah Toza Shrine

The second trial mentioned my Kass says "race down a peak rings adorn", and one of the maps on the obelisk points to a location just South of Hebra Peak, below the summit on a long slope. Head up the mountain from Hebra Tower to find the slope - and a portal in the snow.

You'll need to start shield-surfing here and race down this long slope while sliding into all the portals that appear along the way.

Soon, you'll reach a gap in the slope - but luckily a gust of wind can carry you across while your shield is still in place - allowing you to land and keep sliding.

As you continue down the path, stick to the left as the path curves and you enter the Pikida Stonegrove. You'll need to dash from left to right as the portal locations curve and pass a few monsters.

Finally the ride will end in the middle of the grove where the new Shrine appears.

Inside Kiah Toza Shrine - Master the Orb - you'll see in front of you a massive contraption made for a large Shrine Orb that rolls down a series of slopes before falling away. You'll have to help it on its journey by moving down the path.

In front of you is a gust of wind that allows you inspect the contraption more closely - and you can glide up to the top to find a path to a chest. To get all the way up, make a Cryonis platform to jump onto a block, then summon ice below the block to raise you up to the ladder leading to the chest, and grab the Falcon Bow.

Start floating down to follow the orb on its path to where it first falls down, and note the metal blocks along the walls you can move to stop it from flying off. Do the same for the two metal platforms further up to form a bridge, and let the Shrine Orb pass.

As it falls down to the next platform, the conveyor belt will move it backwards - stop this by standing on the button until it is able to move down the next slope. As you look down, you'll find that it's about to hit a lever that will slide backwards - so use Stasis as it goes down the slope to ensure it won't move.

Now jump back down to the main platform and look back past the lever to see that it will fall down - unless you create two Cryonis platforms for it to roll along as it goes down to the final slope.

As it hits the end of the slope, jump on the last button to launch it into the air - and it will land safely in the receptacle on the other side, and you will gain access to the Monk who will give you another of Medoh's Emblems.

Trial 3 - Noe Rajee Shrine

If you spoke to Teba at Rito Village, you'll learn a bit more about the last verse - "shoot four targets to win".

Teba mentions that Revali had his own challenge at the Flight Range.

Warp to the Sha Warvo Shrine and head into the Flight Range itself. The targets here have taken on a blue glow - but just hitting one while falling isn't enough.

Instead, float around until you have four targets in close range, and while in slow motion - shoot all four targets before you come out of focus, which may require some extra stamina.

advertisem*nt

Do this, and the shrine will reveal itself at the bottom of the Flight Range pit, and you can head inside.

Inside Noe Rajee Shrine - The Four Winds - There's a switch at the end of a hall and a air gust waiting to be activated. Take it up to the next level to find the real challenge.

A large floating structure is rotating around four sets of air gusts, and there are several platforms leading upwards that all need their air gusts activated by various switches stashed around the lower part of the structure.

To start, float over and wait until you see a lower entrance with air gusts going up inside of the structure. Float up and you'll find a switch here to activate the gust on the platform above.

Next, wait for the structure to keep rotating until you spy a door with a fan below it. Once the winds hit it, the door will open to reveal a switch - slow down time and shoot it before the door closes to activate the next gust on the platform above.

Keep waiting as the structure rotates to a section of breakable wall. Drop down to the bottom of the gusts your on and place a bomb to fly up above you - and detonate when it reaches the blocks. Then you can fly up to find the switch that was hiding behind the blocks.

advertisem*nt

Finally, look for a barred window area looking into the last switch - and hit the switch with an arrow while in slow motion.

Now all the platforms above have gusts you can ride up to the very top.

Before you fly off to the Monk, look in the opposite direction for a chest on a platform you can't quite reach - and glide around back for a secret entrance that will lift you up to the chest to grab a Shield of the Mind's Eye. Head back to the Monk to grab the last of Medoh's Emblems. Your final challenge waits at Vah Medoh itself.

Divine Beast Vah Medoh Challenge

As you approach the Divine Beast, instead of being teleported away, you will have the chance to enter an illusory realm - one where you must face the terror that lurks within the Divine Beast - but things will be different than from your last encounter.

In this fight, you bring only your heart containers and stamina (and runes) - everything else is provided for you, and it isn't much:

  • Feathered Edge
  • Falcon Bow
  • Duplex Bow
  • Phrenic Bow
  • Arrow x100
  • Bomb Arrow x5
  • Snowquill Set (Level 2 Upgraded)
  • Wildberry, Endura Shroom, Raw Bird Drumstick

While your weapons are limited - you at least have a lot of arrows for this battle to make use of, but it's best to save your bomb arrows for certain key points.

advertisem*nt

Instead, dodge Windblight Ganon's arm cannon shots while strafing to the sides. If he's low on the ground, rush him and slash with your sword, and press the attack when he falls to the ground. If he takes to the skies, fly up on a gust and land some shots at his head to knock him down as well.

If your sword breaks - just keep using your bow on his head, or toss bombs at him while he's on the ground stunned.

Once he gets to half health - he'll summon his little helpers to magnify his blasts. Switch to one of your less powerful bows to take them out when slowing down time in a glide - then focus on him. If he moves high up in the sky, switch to the Phrenic Bow to get a zoom in target so you can easily hit his face to stun him.

If he tries to aim his eye laser or summon in his helpers for a big arm cannon shot, stop him with a Bomb Arrow, and press the attack with more headshots when he's stunned. As long as you react accordingly with the weapons you have - Windblight Ganon will be no match for you in this memory.

Returning to reality, Kass will meet you and come up with a song for the Champion Revali. His song will invoke memories from long ago - and unlock a new potential. Revali's Gale will now recharge at a much faster rate!

With this challenge done, it's time to head towards the next Champion trials that await you:

  • EX Champion Daruk's Song
  • EX Champion Mipha's Song
  • EX Champion Urbosa's Song

Once you have completed each of the trials, the Monk Maz Koshia will request that you return to the Shrine of Resurrection to meet your final challenge - The Divine Trial
