What are the largest Highland games in the USA? ›

The Grandfather Games are considered America's grandest Games because of the spectacular mountain setting that is so reminiscent of Scotland.

Rentals are available at the Blue and Green Gates. Credit cards will be accepted at all gates. All rentals must be returned by midnight.

Hogmanay is arguably the biggest event on the Scottish calendar, and Edinburgh celebrates it in style. The festival kicks off with a torchlit procession down the Royal Mile, involving fire dancers, costumes and thousands of people.

May, June, September and October. These months give you long days, almost all the tourism businesses are open, the crowds of July and August are avoided, midges are not at their most prolific and even the weather is pretty decent.
