The RoleOversees the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as the liaison between Supply Chain Procurement (SCP) and the Program Offices. Reviews and approves material funding in support of stage gate reviews, expediting costs, and special projects. Responsible for analyzing LE risks and impacts between SCP and the Program Offices. This position will represent Supply Chain Procurement in meetings with Planning, Engineering, and various Programs. Interaction across the material value stream is required to coordinate tasks, problem solve and present on issues relating to SCP material finance and labor performance, risk assessment and budgeting. A candidate for this position possesses strong Excel and Power Point proficiencies. This candidate will have responsibility to lead a monthly LE/LRM meeting for New Construction CVN and ensure the process is replicated amongst VCS and CLB. This person can demonstrate the ability to summarize information, relate it to an issue and present across, up and down in a professional manner. This position will require proactive problem solving and may be called on to represent the Manager 3 and Director as required, in meetings and presentations.
Must HaveBachelor's Degree and 10 years of relevant exempt experience; Master’s Degree and 8 year of relevant professional experience
One of the following may be used as equivalent to Bachelor's Degree to meet minimum qualifications:
NNS Apprentice School graduate
Navy Nuclear Power School (NNPS) graduate
Associate's Degree or other formal 2 year program and 2 years of relevant exempt experience or 4 years of relevant non-exempt experience
Military Paygrade E-5 or above military experience
High School/GED and 4 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant exempt experience
High School/GED and 8 years combined of Manufacturing, Shipbuilding, Trades, Military experience or other relevant non-exempt experience
Nice to HaveKnowledge of NNS program and procurement operations and Accounting/Finance education or experience are preferred.
