The Athlete of the Week voting occurs each week during high school sports competition and recognizes athletes across all sports.

Athletes were nominated over the past few weeks for the vote starting Monday, March 7. You can nominate athletes for this coming week's performancesfor the vote that beginsnext Monday, March 14.

Athletes are on this week's ballotbased on information made available to The Dispatch,and nominations made over the past week.

Once athletes win during the regular season, they're not eligible to be back on the ballot until the postseason. If athletes haven't won in the regular season, they can be nominated more than once.

Sam Burns, Upper Arlington hockey: Had three goals and four assists in an 8-0 district semifinal win over Thomas Worthington.

Evan Dozer, Bloom-Carroll basketball: Scored 24 points in back-to-back games, first in a 62-43 sectional final win over London, then in a 45-38 district semifinal win over Jonathan Alder.

Raegan Ernst, Dublin Jerome gymnastics: Won the state all-around title with a score of 37.6. She is the school’s first all-around champion. It also was just the fourth all-around title won by a Central District competitor in the 50-year history of the state meet.

Nick Heath, Upper Arlington basketball: Scored 26 points in a 61-38 district semifinal win over Newark.

Peyton Heiss, Jonathan Alder basketball: Scored 26 points in a 56-40 sectional final win over River Valley.

Matthew Howard, Dublin Scioto wrestling: Defeated defending state champion Dylan Russo of Olentangy Liberty 8-3 to win the district 215-pound title.

Sophia Kline, Berne Union basketball: Scored 19 points in a 33-25 district final win over Newark Catholic, then 14 in a 40-25 regional semifinal loss to Waterford.

Amani Lyles, Beechcroft basketball: Scored 30 points in an 89-31 sectional final win over Lakewood, then 18 in a 56-48 district semifinal win over DeSales.

Trey Majidzadeh, Olentangy Liberty basketball: Scored 21 points in a 53-50 district semifinal win over Olentangy Orange.

Meghan Mayotte, Worthington Christianbasketball: Had 16 points and six rebounds in a 63-41 regional semifinal win overCastalia Margaretta.

Camden McDanel, Teays Valley wrestling: Defeated defending state champion Seth Shumate of Dublin Coffman 5-3 to win the district 190-pound title.

Kiarra McElrath, Hartley basketball: Scored 26 points in a 47-45 regional semifinal win over Toledo Central Catholic and 14 in a 42-31 regional final win over Shelby.

Brandon McLaughlin, Heath basketball: Scored 17 points in a 63-57 sectional final win over Bexley.

Chris Mitchell, Bexley basketball: Scored 23 points in a 63-57 sectional final loss to Heath.

Ryan Nutter, Dublin Jerome basketball: Scored 22 points in a 56-49 district semifinal win over Hilliard Davidson.

Chase Ouellette, Wellington basketball: Scored 24 points in a 69-51 sectional final loss to Africentric.

Caleb Ransom, Grove City Christian basketball: Scored 25 points in a 53-52 district semifinal win over Danville.

Max Robins, Upper Arlington hockey: Scored two goals in a 3-2 district quarterfinal win over Dublin Jerome, then had three goals and three assists in an 8-0 district semifinal win over Thomas Worthington.

Delaney Rossette, Gahanna bowling: Averaged 202 with a 607 series in sectionals and 208 average with a 624 series to help her team to a first-place finish in districts.

Imarianah Russell, Reynoldsburg basketball: Had 19points, eight rebounds and four steals in a 61-38 district final win over Delaware Hayes, then scored 30 points in a 72-48 regional semifinal win over Gahanna and 21 in a 56-47 regional final win over Dublin Coffman.

Colin Stegemiller, Thomas Worthington hockey: Scored three goals, including the overtime winner, in a 3-2 win over New Albany.

Dailyn Swain, Africentric basketball: Had 24 points, 11 rebounds, five assists and three steals in a 56-53 district final win over Ready.

LB Towns, Linden-McKinley basketball: Had 22 points and six steals in a 63-55 sectional final win over Hartley.

Zach Vernon, North Union basketball: Scored 21 points in a 48-42 district final loss to Harvest Prep.

Dan Wagner, Africentric basketball: Scored 23 points in a 69-51 sectional final win over Wellington.

Chase Walker, St. Charles basketball: Scored 27 points in a 41-36 district semifinal win over Grove City.

LA Walker, Linden-McKinleybasketball: Scored 22 points in a 55-40 district final win over Bloom-Carroll.

Keylan Williams, Heath basketball: Had 14 points, seven rebounds, four assists and four blocks in a 47-43 district semifinal win over Buckeye Valley and 17 points, seven rebounds and three assists in a 49-45 district final win over Beechcroft.
