Zynth (2024)

The Zynth thrives on the natural electricity emitted by Wublin Island. This monster stores the excess energy to power its glowing abdomen and produce a wonderful harmonic buzzing sound. A word of caution - don't stand too close to the Zynth, unless you want to reek of the orange fizz and ozone smell that accompanies it wherever it goes.

Description[]

Zynth is a Supernatural Monster exclusive to Wublin Island. It was added alongside Brump, Poewk, Thwok, and Dwumrohl on March 24th, 2016 during Version 1.4.0. Zynth is obtained by being purchased in the Market for 3,000 Zynth (1) as an inactive statue, which can be woken up by zapping all required Monster Eggs into it. It has a low currency production compared to other Wublins.

Song[]

Instrument: Analogue synth

Zynth's song is likely an analogue synth, playing during the build-up portions of the Wublin Island song.

VSTs[]

Virtual Studio Technology is an audio plugin software that has libraries of sound effects and synthesized instruments. Within these libraries are SoundFonts, which are the individual effects and instruments themselves. The Monster-Handlers utilize several VSTs to create the sounds of instrumental and sometimes vocal Monsters.

VST: HALion 6
Sound library: HS SE Hybrid
SoundFont: Phase Dance

Breeding[]

Zynth cannot be bred. Like all Wublins, it is bought at the Market as an inactive statue that must be woken up.

Powering Up[]

The allotted time to fill a Zynth in order to activate is 3 days. If the inventory is not completed in the time the Zynth resets to an empty statue and all eggs inside are lost. Eggs can be zapped from Mirror Islands instead of, or in conjunction with Natural Islands.

Filling In[]

Like other Wublins, Zynth can instead be filled in with Diamonds. Each egg can be filled in for 30Zynth (30). Zynth requires a total of 180Zynth (31) for all eggs to be filled.

Since all eggs have an equal Diamond fill cost, it is best to save your Diamonds for the Monsters that are harder to obtain. And oftentimes, it is cheaper to speed up eggs to zap from the Breeding Structure instead.

Wildcards may also be used when filling in a Zynth's inventory. Similarly, it's best to save them for harder to obtain Monsters.

Income[]

Main article: Wublins#Income

Zynth, like other Wublins, can produce between Zynth (32)39,000 and Zynth (33)78,000 Coins, Zynth (34)7,200 and Zynth (35)14,400 Treats, and Zynth (36)144 and Zynth (37)288 Shards. As a Monster that takes up a 2x2 grid space, Zynth produces Zynth (38)2 Diamonds. Wublins generate a random type of currency every 6 to 12 hours. This rate can be increased or decreased depending on Polarity.

Currency generation is calculated separately per Monster, so multiple Zynths will receive more currency, and have a higher chance overall to obtain valuable Diamonds. For maximizing income across your Wublin Island, see Wublin Island Grid Planning.

Currency Distribution[]

Main article: Wublins#Currency Type Distribution

The currency for Zynth is randomly selected from the 4 currencies it can produce. The chances to get each currency are detailed below. Datapoints are the number of recorded collections; the higher number of datapoints, the more accurate the data is.

Please do not edit this table. The data is taken from the Wublins page, which is derived from a joint spreadsheet. You can share your data on its talk page. Note that only large sample sizes of data are valuable.

Polarity[]

All Wublins are affected by Polarity, a mechanic that modifies their currency rate similar to happiness for other Monsters. When a Wublin is placed near another Wublin they are positively charged towards, the time to produce currency will decrease by 25%. When placed near a Wublin they are negatively charged towards, the time to produce currency will increase by 25%. The Common variants can be used instead for Rare Wublins, but the effect will be half as strong. Rare variants can fully affect the polarity of a Common Wublin.

Strategy[]

The following section details strategy for powering up Zynth, for general strategy that can apply to any Monster, see Zapping#Strategy

Zynth can be powered up with just Cold Island unlocked. It can be powered up faster with more Islands unlocked, with Bonus Breeding Structures, or Enhanced Breeding Structures.

The following strategies require zapping Eggs twice per day, once in the morning and once at night. More than two Monsters may be included in a day if it has a lower breeding time. For Maw and Drumpler, the player will need to return to the game to zap it in 30 minutes.

If you have just Plant and Cold Islands, use the strategy below. Remember to be sure to follow the order of the Eggs shown.

If you have all Islands up to Fire Oasis unlocked, you can complete Zynth faster by using this strategy:

Advanced Strategy[]

If you want to start making a Zynth farm, utilizing Magical and Mirror Islands is a good strategy. The following strategy produces 4 Zynths per day, and only requires Psychic, Faerie, Mirror Plant, and Mirror Cold Islands. Mirror Air and Mirror Earth can also be used if you don't want to return to your game after 30 minutes for the Maws and Drumplers.

Notes[]

  • Zynth's name is a play on the word synth, which is also why the sound this Wublin makes is a synth.
  • Zynth sounded faster on the teasers released on Vine.
  • Zynth appears to change height to match its pitch (i.e. taller = higher pitch & shorter = lower pitch).
  • Zynth was the first ever teased Wublin.
  • Along with Brump, it's one of the easiest Wublins to obtain.
  • Zynth and Thwok used to have the smallest footprints (2x2) of all the Wublins.
  • All the monsters required to wake up Zynth except Oaktopus can be bred on Air Island.
  • Zynth is an extremely useful monster for Wublin Farming because it has a 2x2 spacing and it is very easy to wake up.
    • Prior to update 3.9, Zynth was one of the only two 2x2 sized Wublins, and all Wublins had the same generation rates, making Zynth farms even more powerful. However, since update 3.9, Zynth farms are now primarily used by new players.
  • Zynth and Zuuker are the only Wublins to require at least Cold Island to wake up.
  • One of Zynth's possible names, Tezzla, references Serbian physicist Nikola Tesla, who worked with electricity.
  • Zynth cannot fly.[1]
